K-Pass Public Transit Refund
👍 Worth it💰 Up to ₩300-500K per year
Use public transit 15+ times a month and get 20-53% of the fare refunded.
💡 Ride just 15 times a month and 20-53% of your transit fare comes back. Not using it is the only loss.
What the ads say
A set percentage of public-transit fares refunded each month.
How it actually works
Ride 15+ times a month on a dedicated card and get back 20% (general), 30% (youth, 19-34), or 53.3% (low-income), with extra for multi-child families. The first ₩200K/mo counts in full; anything above is credited at only 50%. So it's a real cash refund for heavy riders, but any month under 15 rides is zero.
⚠ Traps
- •Under 15 rides in a month means zero refund that month
- •You must first get a dedicated K-Pass card and sign up via the app (or website)
- •Refunds are capped at 60 rides/mo and 2 rides/day
✓ Good for
- · People who ride public transit 15+ times a month, e.g. commuters
- · Youth (19-34) and low-income people (higher refund rates)
✗ Not for
- · People who rarely ride transit or take under 15 rides a month
- · Mainly car-based travelers
