Climate Card (unlimited Seoul public transit)
⚠️ Think it over💰 Tens of thousands of won/yr in savings
A monthly flat fee for unlimited Seoul subway, bus, and Ttareungi bikes. Youth/low-income discounts.
💡 ₩65,000 a month for unlimited Seoul subway and bus — ride 41+ times a month and it beats a commuter pass.
What the ads say
Unlimited Seoul public transit for one flat monthly fee.
How it actually works
For ₩65,000/mo (₩62,000 without Ttareungi bikes), it's a pass for unlimited Seoul subway, city buses, and Ttareungi bikes. Youth (19-39) pay ₩55,000; teens, multi-child, and low-income pay ₩45,000. But it's 'Seoul'-based, so using it outside that range is a loss.
⚠ Traps
- •Seoul-area based — excludes the Sinbundang Line, GTX, wide-area/airport buses, and other regions' subways
- •Boarding/alighting outside the range incurs separate fares (watch for surcharges if you don't tag)
- •If you ride little (under about 40 times a month), a commuter pass or regular payment is cheaper
✓ Good for
- · People who ride Seoul public transit often (40+ times a month)
- · Youth and low-income people (discounted fares apply)
✗ Not for
- · Commuters from outside Seoul such as Gyeonggi or Incheon (much of it is out of range)
- · People who ride public transit only occasionally
